The Masterwork Chorus and Orchestra
Featuring Bach Cantata BWV 207a, Handel Water Music (Suite in F and Suite in D) and the Handel Coronation Anthems

It's all about pomp and circumstance as J. S. Bach celebrates the name day of King Augustus III of Poland and G. F. Handel honors two British monarchs, composing suites for a concert on the Thames for George I and anthems for George II for his coronation as King of England.

Traditions!
Exploring a variety of music from different cultures, Traditions! features works rooted in the African-American tradition, ranging from the jazz of George Shearing’s Songs and Sonnets of Shakespeare to spirituals to songs of social justice.  Also enjoy Ramirez’s time-honored Spanish Mass, Misa Criolla, newly commissioned Three Polish Lullabies by Martin Sedek, noted composer and Masterwork’s Associate Director and Eric Whitacres’s lush Five Hebrew Love Songs with words by Jerusalem-born Hila Plitmann and violin.
